Rewinding

Rewinding is an important stage in the BOPP packing tape manufacturing process. After adhesive coating and drying, the coated BOPP film is rewound into large, uniform rolls under controlled tension, preparing the material for subsequent slitting and converting.

Precise tension control during rewinding helps keep the tape surface flat, reduce wrinkles and prevent uneven roll formation. Stable roll tension also contributes to smoother unwinding and more consistent performance during high-speed slitting and finished tape production.

During this process, the coated film is carefully aligned and wound to maintain uniform roll density and edge quality. Proper rewinding helps improve production efficiency, reduce material waste and ensure that each jumbo roll meets the requirements for downstream converting.

The rewound jumbo rolls can then be slit into different tape widths and lengths according to customer specifications, including standard carton sealing tape, colored BOPP tape and custom printed packaging tape.
